England manager Gareth Southgate was in the stands when Milan came back to beat Newcastle United in the Champions League and Fikayo Tomori will hope he was watching a goal-saving tackle.
It was a great overall performance at St. James’ Park from Tomori, but his highlight was an extraordinary challenge that prevented Miguel Almiron tapping in from a couple of yards when the roll across had already beaten Mike Maignan.

Tomori almost got a goal at the other end too, as late on his angled drive thumped the inside of the far upright on the counter-attack.
The 2-1 win was not enough to keep Milan in the Champions League, but they do go into the Europa League.
