Viktoria Plzen striker, Fortune Bassey says the team will do their best to get a good result against “difficult opponent” Inter Milan.
Michal Bilek’s men opened their campaign in the UEFA Champions League group stage with a 5-1 defeat against Barcelona last week.
The Czech Republic side will have their back against the wall again when they file out against former champions, Inter Milan at the Guiseppe Meaza Stadium, San Siro, on Tuesday night (today).
Bassey, who is on loan at Viktoria Plzen from Norwegian club, Ferencvaros reckoned it would be an uphill task to beat the Nerazzurri but insisted they would give their all in the game.
“Difficult game in a complicated group. The important thing for us is to give everything and achieve results if we want to overcome the group or aim for the Europa League,” Bassey told Sky Sport.
“We have to give our best as a team. Inter are a difficult opponent . We have to try, do our best and see what happens on the pitch.”
Bassey featured as a substitute against Barcelona, replacing Tomas Chory in the 66th minute.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona will clash in the other game in the group.
