Victor Osimhen is available for Napoli’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool after taking part in this morning’s training session at Castel Volturno.
The 23-year-old picked up a minor muscle injury in Napoli’s Serie A game against Lazio and has trained separately from the team over the last two days.
According to II Corriere Dello Sport, the Nigerian international participated fully in today’s session handing manager Luciano Spalletti a major boost ahead of the game billed for the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Spalletti claimed on Tuesday that he would have made a final decision over Osimhen this morning.
Osimhen is now expected to make his debut appearance in the Champions League for the Partenopei.
The striker scored two goals in five appearances in the competition during his time with Ligue 1 club, Lille.
He has scored 30 goals in 67 appearances with the Partenopei since joining the club from Lille in 2020.
