UCL: Real Madrid coach Ancelotti confident Benzema’s injury ‘not serious’

Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, is confident Karim Benzema’s injury isn’t serious after victory at Celtic.

Real won their Champions League group opener 3-0 in Glasgow, though Benzema limped off in the first-half.

He headed straight for the dressing room after 30 minutes in what is a worrying sign for Los Blancos.

However, Ancelotti said later: “It doesn’t seem to be serious. We’ll wait for tomorrow but early signs imply it’s nothing to worry about. We have to wait until tomorrow.

“It’s unclear whether it’s a muscle issue or if it’s his knee”.
