After almost a year of the best of grassroots football, the United Football Championship League will officially come to an end on Thursday, December 7, 2023, even as their proposed Super 8 tournament get December 18 -22 kickoff date.
The Super 8, which will involve the first 8 top teams on the league table to determine the winner of the league, will hold at the FIFA goal project Legacy Pitch at the National stadium Surulere, Lagos.
But finishing amongst the top 8 placed teams in the league does not guarantee automatic ticket to the Super 8 according to the league’s Secretary, Frank Orji as he noted that teams which are yet to pay the balance of their registration fee will be replaced with teams next on the log table that has completed and complied with their registration regulations.
His words: “We thank God that the league will successfully and officially come to an end on Thursday, December 7, after almost a year now since the league started.

“All attention and focus is now on the Super 8 involving the top 8 teams on the log to determine the actual winner of the league.
“However, I must warn that making the top 8 doesn’t guarantee a team an automatic ticket, as teams that are yet to complete their registration fee will be withdrawn and the next ranked team which has fully paid will replace them, he stated.
Meanwhile, the top 8 teams as at press time that will do battle at the Super 8 all things being equal are: Glorious Day FA, Box 2 Box FC, Ajuwa FA, The Charlesann FC, Dominion Hotspur, Spartan FC, Starbase and Kingsspor FC.
