Umar Sadiq nets first LaLiga goal in 2024

Nigeria’s Umar Sadiq netted his first LaLiga goal of the year as Real Sociedad pipped Granada 3-2 away from home.

Real Sociedad stagged a comeback after going behind in the 21st minute of the game, but Sadiq fired home the equaliser 12 minutes later.

Sadiq, however, failed to score in previous 18 league games for Real Sociedad.

Intrestingly, it was the 27-year-old’s third goal for this campaign.

With 22 minutes of play left, Sadiq was replaced by Andre Silva before going on to net the match winner two minutes from time.

Real Sociedad are currently sixth in the LaLiga table, with 43 points from 28 games.
