Victor Moses quits Spartak

Date:

Russian Premier League club Spartak Moscow have confirmed that former Nigeria international Victor Moses is leaving the Red and Whites at the end of the 2023-2024 season.

Moses was Chelsea’s longest-serving player on a first-team contract, having spent nine years at Stamford Bridge, before joining Spartak Moscow on a permanent deal in July 2021.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner initially joined Spartak Moscow on loan before signing a permanent deal.

Moses played his last home match for the Muscovites as they beat Rubin Kazan 3-1 on Sunday, coming off the bench to replace Théo Bongonda with fourteen minutes left.

Overall, the 33-year-old has appeared in 84 matches for Spartak, registering twenty goal involvements.

The 2007 European U17 Championship top scorer left Chelsea after winning the Europa League, FA Cup and Premier League title, and had 18 goals to his name in 128 appearances.
