Enyimba coach, Olanrewaju Yemi has said it was a big relief for his team to record their first victory at the ongoing Nigeria Premier League Super Six playoffs.
Yemi reckoned that their 1-0 win against Lobi Stars was a morale booster after Enyimba’s matchday one 1-1 draw with Remo Stars.
The eight-time NPL champions top the Super Six playoff table with four points from two games.
“The victory against Lobi Stars was a big relief and a massive one in our quest for a successful playoff,”.
“The win will boost our morale after the draw against Remo Stars.
“Now, we can build on that and at least pick a continental ticket.
“It’s good we are back in our quest for continental football next season.”
Enyimba will lock horns with Bendel Insurance in a matchday three encounter at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Wednesday.
