WAFCON 2022: Super Falcons back in Casablanca for Zambia clash

Super Falcons players and their officials arrived in Casablanca on Tuesday afternoon ahead of their third-place encounter against the She-polopolo of Zambia.

The defending champions lost 5-4 on penalty shootouts to the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in their semi-final clash on Monday night in Rabat.

Randy Waldrum’s side will battle the Zambians for the bronze medal at the Stade Mohamed V, Casablanca on Friday.

The Super Falcons will play their second game at the ground following the quarter-final win against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon.

It is the second time the West Africans will play in a third-place match at the WAFCON.

The duo of Halimat Ayinde and Rasheedat Ajibade will miss the game through suspension.
