WAFCON 2026 qualifier: Super Falcons to face Benin Republic in final round

Benin Republic will face Nigeria’s Super Falcons in the final round of qualifiers for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Amazons secured their spot after defeating Sierra Leone 5-2 on aggregate in the first round, setting up a clash with the Super Falcons.

Benin triumphed 2-1 at home in the first leg, then sealed their passage with a 3-1 victory away in the second leg.

The two-legged qualifiers will take place between October 20 and 28, 2025.

Benin will host the first leg, with the second leg scheduled to be held in Nigeria.

The winners of the final round will secure a place in the WAFCON 2026.

The Super Falcons are the most successful team in the history of the competition, having won nine titles.
