China-based Nigeria player, Desire Oparanozie, former Rangers defender, Leon Balogun and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen have urged Super Falcons to go all-out tonight against Botswana in their second match in group C of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.
The Super Falcons lost their first match 1-2 to South Africa in Rabat.
Oparanozie who was recently dropped from the team stated on her Twitter handle to Falcons: ‘Success is not only the peak you reach, it’s a valley you conquer. Likewise, progress; is not always about getting better, sometimes it’s about bouncing back. Every experience of enduring adversity and overcoming obstacles is all part of the process. Resilience is a form of growth.
She advised the team to use the Botswana match to reorganise themselves and prove to the world that they’re not a push-over anymore.
Only recently, Oparanoize and Chinwendu Ihezuo were dropped from the Super Falcons Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Oparanoize who was one of the nine forwards called up by Randy Waldrum for the 2022 WAFCON in Morocco was replaced in the squad by Anam Imo while Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene was drafted in for Chinwendu Ihezuo.
Former Gasgow Rangers defender, Balogun and Napoli goal-king, Osimhen also charged the team to wake up and destroy Botswana at once.
