WAFU U-20 Championship: Flying Eagles kick off title defense against Burkina Faso

Defending champions Nigeria will take on Burkina Faso in their first match of the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Lomé, Togo.

The Group B clash is scheduled to take place at the Municipal Stadium, starting at 3 PM local time.

The Flying Eagles final group game against Cote d’Ivoire will also hold at the same ground three days later.

The competition will commence on Thursday, October 17 with hosts Togo taking on Niger Republic at the Kegue Stadium.

Ghana and Benin are the other teams in Group A.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the semi-finals.

This tournament will also act as a qualifier for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
