W’Cup Qualifier: Nigeria fail to defeat South Africa, settle for 1-1 draw

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have played a 1-1 draw against Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifier.

Themba Zwane scored the back break goal for Bafana Bafana in the 29th minute to put his side ahead against the Super Eagles.

The goal disorganised the Super Eagles as they struggled to put smile in the faces of the football fans who thronged Godswill Akpabio Stadium in support for Super Eagles.

Eagles were down casted to find the back of the net of their opponent who were determined to go back home with a Victory over Nigeria.

New comer, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru leveled up for Nigeria in the 46th minute of the match.
