The Super Eagles head Coach Gernot Rohr has hailed the effort of his team for beating Cape Verde 2-1 on the ongoing World Cup Qualifying match played today in Cape Verde.
Rohr said,” The new players have brought in new competition to the first team. We have Innocent Bonke in our scouting team, they did well though we missed harmony in the early moment but they did a good job.
“It was a difficult game for us, we needed to built a new team, it wasn’t easy, but in Nigeria we have abundant talents. We are happy to win this game, it is not easy to come back, the goal we conceded was unfortunate. We need to continue winning and play well.
He continued,”I want to appreciate Cape Verde for their hospitality, not for the own goal, but from the airport and organization, they are kind people.”
