Why PSG have no reason to envy historically big clubs – Messi

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Lionel Messi, has said that the club has no reason to envy historically big clubs because the Parisians are among the biggest clubs in the world.

Messi, who joined PSG from Barcelona last summer, said that the French Ligue 1 side is a club that keeps developing and becoming bigger.

The Argentine captain said PSG have nothing to envy about other clubs, adding that they have already established themselves among the giants of the game.

Speaking to the club’s official magazine, the seven-time Ballon door winner opened up on his impression of his new club.

Messi said, “PSG is a club which is growing, which has ambition and is keen to keep growing.

“There is room for growth and the power to do so.

“[PSG] are among the biggest clubs in the world and keep developing and becoming bigger, they have no reason to envy the historically big clubs.”
