Women League Super-4 Hits Lagos January 23

The much awaited Super-4 competition of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) will now hold from January 23 to 26 at Agege Stadium, Lagos.

The competition, which will decide the winner of the 2017/2018 NWFL season, will involve Federation Cup winners, Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt and league champs, Nassarwa Amazons of Lafia.

They will come up against Bayelsa Queens of Yenagoa and Sunshine Queens of Akure in a knock-out format.

Having finished the regular league with highest points, the holders, Nasarawa Amazons will hope to retain the title they won last year.

January 23 is set aside for the arrival of teams and pre-match meeting at 6pm.

The following day will witness two matches – Bayelsa Queens versus Sunshine Queens at 2pm and Nasarawa Amazons against Rivers Angels at 4pm.

While January 25 is rest day, the next day will have the third place match at 2pm and final  scheduled to kick-off 4pm.
