Women’s CAF Champions League: “We Want To Bring Trophy To Nigeria” – Itimi Mercy

Bayelsa Queens have confirmed their readiness to bring the CAF Women’s champions league trophy to Nigeria.

Mercy netted a brace on Sunday evening in Bayelsa Queens’ 3-0 win over Wadi Degla of Egypt.

While speaking after the game she said they’ve tasted defeat and victory in the tournament, therefore they are prepared for the battle ahead to win the title.

” We want to bring the Cup to Nigeria.” She said after the match.

She added, “To win this tournament and surf on the good results that Nigerian football is currently accumulating.

“We have known everything in this tournament: defeat and victory. We started our African campaign very badly.

“Fortunately, after our first outing, the coach cheered us up and we are up with high level of confidence.

They told us that we play better and are better than that,” she told CAF media.
