World Cup: Benzema names four countries to win tournament in Qatar

Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema, has listed Brazil, Argentina, France and Spain among the four main contenders to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Benzema also confirmed that he is fit and ready to feature for France at this year’s World Cup.

The 2022 World Cup will begin on November 20, with the hosts Qatar taking on Ecuador and England facing Iran the following day.

Speaking on Sunday to Téléfoot ahead of his link-up with the France squad next week, Benzema said, “I’m fit and present.”

When asked about who he thought were the favourites for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, the France international added, “Vini Jr. & Rodrygo’s Brazil the big favorite? Yes, they are a favourite as Argentina can be, as Spain can be, France, of course.”

France will play Australia in their opening match of the tournament on Tuesday, November 22.

They will also face Denmark on November 26 and then Tunisia on the 30th.
