World Cup: Netherlands coach, Louis van Gaal names most dangerous footballer

Netherlands head coach, Louis van Gaal, has identified Argentina captain Lionel Messi as the most dangerous football player in the world.

Van Gaal said this ahead of Holland’s World Cup quarter-final tie against Argentina on Friday.

According to the former Manchester United manager, Messi creates the most chances during a match and also makes them himself.

“He [Messi] is indeed the most dangerous player who creates the most chances and also makes them himself,” Van Gaal told NOS on Tuesday.

“But on the other hand he doesn’t play much with the opponent when he has possession of the ball. That is also where our chances lie.”

The kick-off time for Netherlands vs Argentina is 8 pm, Lusail Stadium.
