Following the Super eagles 2-0 win against the hosting Central African Republic in the on going World cup qualifiers match played in Douala, Nigerian fans have rated and named Chidozie Awaziem man of the match.
Awaziem who suppose to play in the Central defense bench Ola Aina as well held the no 2 position in the defense did very well without any question from the technical head.
some of the fans in an interview with SportsDay yesterday in Lagos confirmed Awaziem as the best defender and 2 position for the game against Central Africa Republic played on Sunday,
Ikenna Ugwu stated, ” At first we lost all hope based on what they played in the first leg in Lagos little do we know there still hope for the world Cup in Qatar.
“That defense needed someone stronger and calm and honestly Chidozie did perfectly well on that line. he did not move always standing with Ekong and that alone gave us hope that we will pick a point and finally we deed.
Balogun Kunle also added, ” All the players did their best in that game including Leon Balogun who gave us the first goal but among them is Awaziem. He pocket that 2 position with out fear. i hope Rohr will stick to this pattern in the rest of the matches,” kunle said.
