World Cup: Ronaldo reacts to Portugal’s 6-1 victory over Switzerland

Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to his side’s World Cup 6-1 win over Switzerland in the round of 16 on Tuesday.

Ronaldo, who did not start against Switzerland, congratulated his teammates for beating Murat Yakin’s side in Qatar.

A hat-trick from Goncalo Ramos and a goal from Pepe, Raphael Guerreiro and Rafael Leao gave Portugal the victory over Switzerland.

Reacting, Ronaldo, in a post via his Instagram account after the match, said the Portugal team is full of talent and youth, adding that the dream is alive.

The former Manchester United forward wrote: “Amazing day for Portugal, with a historic result in the biggest contest in world soccer.

“Luxury exhibition by a team full of talent and youth. Congratulations to our national team. The dream is alive! To the very end! Come on, Portugal!”

Ronaldo will now hope to start for Portugal when they face Morocco in the quarter-final stage on Saturday.
