WSL: Super Falcons defender, Plumptre out of action until 2023

Super Falcons defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has been ruled out of action until 2023 due to a hamstring injury.

Plumptre, according to her Women’s Super League club, Leicester City, could return to action in January 2023.

The Foxes struggled in her absence, going down to an 8-0 defeat against Chelsea in their clash last weekend.

Prior to the game against Chelsea, Plumptre had featured in all of Leicester City’s eight league games this season.

The 24-year-old is, however, yet to open her goal account for the campaign.

Leicester City, who occupy the last position on the WSL table, have lost all nine games this season.
