You will not tweet now Naira gained value – Reno Omokri attacks Obi

Date:

Reno Omokri, a socio-political activist, has again attacked the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, accusing him of being an enemy of the country.

Omokri attacked Obi on Sunday while calling on Nigerians to celebrate the minimal recovery of the local currency against the US dollar.

In a tweet on his official X handle, Omokri pointed out that there is a need to appreciate the little progress being made in regards to the foreign exchange value.

According to him, the naira has continued to appreciate against dollars and is now trading at ₦1610 to $1 at both official and parallel markets.

He wrote, “The floated Naira continues to appreciate at both the official and parallel markets. It gained ₦6 and is trading at ₦1610 to $1. Let us celebrate small progress like this. Do you know why? Because enemies of Nigeria will celebrate and overflow negativity.

“Take Peter Obi, for example. He will not tweet when the Naira gains value. He will not post when the Nigerian Stock Exchange becomes the most profitable on Earth.

“He will be missing when our GDP grows by 3.4% in the latest NBS data. You won’t see him when it is reported that our oil imports have reduced by 50%.

“But let something remotely negative occur and Obi will bring out his megaphones and start singing, ‘Go Tell It On The Mountains”.
