Young Africans get cash reward for win against Rivers United

Tanzanian champions, Young Africans, on Wednesday, received a cash reward of $4,251.74 for their away win against Rivers United in Uyo last Sunday.

The Citizens defeated the Nigerian champions 2-0 in front of their fans in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final clash.

Fiston Mayele scored both goals for Young Africans.

The President of the club, Samia Suluhu Hassan handed the cash to the team after training on Wednesday.

Young Africans will host Rivers United in the second leg this weekend at the Benjamin Nkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam.

The winners will face Pyramids of Egypt or South Africa’s Gallants FC in the last four.
