Young Talent Wins Last Team Standing Lagos State Trials …Hammer Denzella FC 4-0

Young Talent FC have emerged proud winner of the inaugural edition of the most talked about reality TV football show, Last Team Standing Lagos State trials, held June 19 to June 20, 2023.

Young Talent whitewashed Denzella FC 4-0 at the widely celebrated event which attracted well over 300 players that attended the Lagos trials that went down at the magnificent Abalti Barracks mini stadium, Surulere, Lagos, which was full of glitz, glamour with great football spectacle and razz-mattazz.

The trials was a 2-day program, that had Young talent FC emerge overall winner after playing through the knockout stages in the first round (Day 1) where six winners emerged.

The final day, (Day 2) had the six winning teams that emerged from the first round broken into two groups of three teams each, where the winners of each group played in the final to get the Last Team Standing for Lagos state.

In Group A, we had Denzella FC, Amalex FC and Papas palace FC completing the number of three teams in that group. While Group B paraded the likes of Young Talent FC, MFM FC and Fountain FC which make up the group.

After playing their maximum two matches each in the group, Denzella FC tied with Amalex FC on same number of 2 goals and 4 points in group A, but eventually progressed to the final on fair play rule. (Amalex FC had 2 yellow cards while Denzella FC had just 1).

Meanwhile, Young Talent FC advanced from group B with goals difference after securing or amassing same number of 4 points with MFM FC.

In other to ensure that Lagos presents their best at the final camping in Lagos, 14 more young talented players were picked from the various teams that participated at the trials and merged to the 14 players of the overall winner, Young Talent FC to bring the number to 28 players which will represent each state for the final screening going into the last team standing House in September/ October.

Present at the trials were ex-Nigerian international Henry Nwosu (MON), Indigo Homes and Development, Pocari Sweat and other dignitaries.

Meanwhile, Oyo state trials will hold from 21st to 22nd of June, 2023.
