Dr. Daniel Igali, Bayelsa State Commissioner for Sports Development, has expressed his support for Bayelsa athletes participating in the Youth Games from September 9th to 21st in Asaba, Delta State.
Igali highlighted that the Youth Games offer a valuable opportunity to discover and develop future champions for both the state and the nation. He emphasized the importance of grassroots events for athletic development and urged athletes to compete fairly and represent Bayelsa with pride.

“We are in Asaba to compete seriously, as this is not just about winning but about laying a strong foundation for these young athletes,” Igali said. “While we hope for success, our main focus is on the future of these young talents.
