Yucateco Boxing Train Moves To Osun, Osogbo

All is set for week 5 of the Yucateco boxing league Season 2 in the heart of the Osun state capital Osogbo. The event slated for Friday the 6th of September at the Nelson Mandela Freedom park, will have 48 boxers in the squared ropes in 24 bouts.

The second season of the widly followed boxing league which commenced in Lagos in August have completed over one hundred bouts after four exciting weeks of action.

As the YBL train moves from Lagos to Osun state in week 5, the initiator of the event and Chairman CEO Yucateco boxing promotions Omonlei Yakubu Imadu, has called on residents of Osogbo and its environs to turn out in their numbers and enjoy the best of amateur boxing and other side attractions.

Boxers participating in the league are paid weekly allowances as well as other incentives. The most valuable boxer in each weight category will also receive the sum of 2 Million naira at the end of the season.

Twelve boxing clubs are competing for the grand prize of N50 Million in Season 2 of the Yucateco boxing league.
