Zakari Thanks Manager, Parents For Betis Move

Real Betis of Spain new arrival, Lukman Zakari has given a high level of thanks to his manager and his parents for helping him successfully seal a summer transfer from Metta FC of Latvia to the modest La Liga outfit.

The Chile 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning central defender declared further that he is happy to commit his future to the Andalusian club until the end of the 2021/22 season, with a view to stepping further than Finidi Geroge and Nosa Igiebor did during their days with the club.

After putting pen to paper on a three-year contract following his routine medical in Belompie, Zakari admitted it is a step forward in his career, following his fine form at Metta, where he was on top of his game and made Latvian Premier League team of the week on several occasions.

Zakari told ”I am very happy about this move and I want to thank my manager, parents and everybody that supported me in this journey.

“I am very happy to get this opportunity to play for Real Betis, all I need to do is to work hard and achieve my aim of coming here.

”I never expected to come here but football is about giving your best and you will see the result.”
