1XBET COMMUNITY CUP 2024: Adrenaline, Excitements High As Four Teams Punched Semi-Final Tickets

The 2024 edition of the 1XBET Community Football Championship is gradually reaching the promised land of honey and glory. 

Monday and Tuesday, were days for the quater-final matches and expectedly, it was untold excitements and pumped up adrenaline as the teams kept the football fans on the edges of their seats throughout the four matches, played at the prestigious Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

In the first game of the quater-finals, Gunners Link FC defeated Collins Edwin FC, 1-0. The second game of the day witnessed the ouster of defending champions SB LFC who were knocked out by youthful FC Bethel Sporting 2-1 in a pulsating encounter.

Matchday two of the quater-finals, saw Emaljus FC and cinderrela team of the championship, Diadem Stallion played out a 2-2 draw in regulations time, before Emaljus won 4-2 on penalties.

The last game of the day, was another thrilling encounter that ended goalless between favourites Dominion Hotspur FC and Emiloju FC, in regulations time. However, thanks to the heroics of Enoch Ebuka, who saved four penalties during the shootout, a record for the championship, Emiloju FC qualified for the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the semi-final matches are slated for Thursday, September 19, at the same venue, Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
