Five foreign-based players have arrived at Sierra Leone’s training base in Conakry, Guinea, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau.
The five players include strikers Mohamed Buya Turay, Augustus Kargbo and Amadou Bakayoko.
The other two are; Kwame Queen and John Kamara.
12 out of the 25 invited players have arrived in Conakry.
Ibrahim Sessay, Donald Kamara, Saidu Mansaray, Musa Noah Camara, Lamin Conteh, and Saidu Bah Kamara were all part of the team’s first training session on Wednesday.
Captain Steve Caulker, Anderlecht winger Mustapha Bundu, Ibrahim Sillah will join the team on Thursday.
The Leone Stars will come up against the Super Eagles at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Thursday, June 9.
John Keister’s side will host Guinea-Bissau in a matchday two encounter at the General Lasana Conte Stadium, Conakry four days later.
