Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has heaped plaudits on the Super Falcons despite the team’s elimination at the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Super Falcons bowed out of the competition after going down 4-2 on penalties to the Three Lionesses of England on Monday morning.

Randy Waldrum’s side were the better side in the game despite failing to progress into quarter-finals.

Peseiro praised the team for their exemplary performance in Australia and New Zealand.

“What an extraordinary World Cup, you showed the world that Nigeria is here!,” Peseiro wrote on his Twitter handle.

“Keep your chins up, Super Falcons… You did your country proud.

“Congratulations and keep up the good work,” he added.
