Following their superb performance in the just concluded 2023 FIBA Women’s Afrobasketball championship in Kigali, Rwanda, Nigeria’s First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu ( CON) on Monday hosted the victorious D’Tigress.
D’Tigress lived up to expectations on Sunday by successfully defending their Afrobasketball championship.
Nigerian side defeated DR Cong and Egypt at the group stage and sent out Mozambique and host Rwanda in the quarter-final and semi-final.
They thrashed and secured an 84-74 win over hard-fighting Senegal on Sunday at the BK Arena to capture the title for the 4th consecutive time.
The First Lady said their performance is a testament to hard work, discipline, and commitment to excellence and this will inspire more women, to pursue their dreams.
