Abd’Allah optimistic about Kano Pillars’ chances against Bayelsa United

Kano Pillars head coach Usman Abd’Allah is wary of Bayelsa United’s competitiveness as Sai Masu Gida prepares for their visit to Yenagoa this weekend.

Despite narrowly avoiding relegation on the final day of the season, Bayelsa United scored 46 goals last year.

Abd’Allah, speaking ahead of the crucial fixture, acknowledged that their hosts will be a formidable challenge.

The Sai Masu Gida boys will face Bayelsa United in Yenagoa on Sunday for Matchday Two of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Abd’Allah emphasized that his team must stay sharp throughout the match to secure a positive result.

“In my philosophy, unlike other coaches, I’m more focused on not conceding goals, my team always built from the back, whether we are attacking or defending, I always ensure our defense is solid,” Abd’Allah, a former Super Eagles Assistant Coach said.

“Last season, despite Bayelsa United being at the bottom of the table during the first stanza, they scored the highest number of goals and many people overlooked that fact.”
