AFCON: FM SPORTS9 CEO, Bamisaye Hopeful Eagles will Get Positive Result against Ivory Coast

South African based Nigerian sports business executive and CEO of FMSPORTS9, Femi Bamisaye has stated that he is optimistic of a positive as Nigeria’s, super Eagles battles against the Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire in the second match of the  ongoing AFCON tournament.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria drew their first game against Equatorial Guinea with the Nzalang Nacional took a surprise lead against the Super Eagles in the 36th minute against the run of play with a well worked goal, only for the lead to last for just two minutes before Napoli prolific forward, Victor Osimhen restored parity for the three times African champions.

With the result against Equatorial Guinea, many Nigerians have expressed dissatisfaction with the result suggesting that Nigeria now walks a tight rope and it will be an herculean task for Nigeria to scale out of the group as Ivory Coast been the host have a advantage over the Super Eagles but a Nigerian football stakeholder and football business executive resident in South Africa believes Nigeria has got a chance.

Sharing his thoughts, Bamisaye said, “I am actually confident we can get a positive result against the Ivoriens and if you watched the first game, we actually created a lot of chances and could have easily win the game with a high scoring margin but it is football, sometimes you play so well and the game don’t go your way but if we are able to create chances like we did against Equatorial Guinea and shore up our defense, I see us carrying the day, it’s actually very possible and I do believe we have the personnel to win the game. In our squad, we have the current African Player of the year and also we have Ademola Lookman who was one of the top scorers in the SERIE A last season, so the Ivoriens will also be very wary of our attack. I am optimistic that we will carry the day” he concluded.

The Match between host, the Elephants of Ivory Coast and the Super Eagles of Nigeria comes up at 6pm Nigerian time.
