AFCON: Odion Ighalo Gets Deadline to Report to Camp or Replaced

Date:

Interim coach of the Super Eagles Austine Eguavoen has given a deadline to Al Shabab striker Odion Ighalo who is yet to report to camp in preparation for the African Cup of Nation billed to kick off in Cameroon this weekend.

SportsDayonline.com gathered that Al Shabab are refusing to let the forward leave his club for the AFCON as it will affect his aspiration in scoring more goals for Nigeria.

It is also gathered that Ighalo has been pushing the club very hard to allow him meet up with team mates in camp for the task ahead of them.

However the coach Eguaveon has made it clear that by Wednesday evening and no positive information from Ighalo, the technical crew will have no option than to go for a replacement.
