AFCON Qualifier: Super Eagles off to Morocco Sunday for Sao Tome clash

The Super Eagles will jet off to Marrakech, Morocco on Sunday morning for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday two encounter against the Falcons of Sao Tome and Principe.

The encounter is billed for the Grand Stade de Marrakech on Monday.

The Super Eagles started their campaign with a nervy 2-1 home win against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone on Thursday night in Abuja.

The Falcons on the hand were humiliated 5-1 by the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau also on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will hold a recovery session at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Friday evening (today) as they shift attention to the game against their fellow West Africans.

The team will have another training session on Saturday night before travelling to Marrakech.
