AFCON: ‘Senior Man’ – Leicester City hails Iheanacho for sending Super Eagles to final

Leicester City have hailed Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho for sending Nigeria’s Super Eagles to the final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Ivory Coast.

Recall that Nigeria defeated South Africa in the semi-final encounter on Wednesday.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

Jose Peseiro’s side win 4-2 via penalty shootout.

However, Iheanacho, who currently plays his club football at Leicester, scored the decisive penalty to send Nigeria to the AFCON final.

Reacting, Leicester City, in a post via their X account after the game wrote: “Seniorman sends Nigeria through!”
