AFCON: Super Eagles converge for first training ahead of Sao Tome duel

Super Eagles are expected to have their first training session on Wednesday ahead of their 2024 African Nations Cup qualifier last group match versus São Tomé and Principe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

Super Eagles’ camp for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome will start bubbling as camp officially opened for resumption.

Meanwhile as at Tuesday afternoon the officials of the team had settled down at the Four Points Sheraton hotel, Uyo waiting to receive the players and prepare them for the weekend encounter.

“Our camp will open on Wednesda. “We expect most of the players to arrive in camp that day; many of them would have been in the country from Tuesday and they would just make a connecting flight to Uyo from Lagos and Abuja the same day so as to arrive at the camp on time. One of the official of the team told BSN Sports.

“We expect to have our first training session by 5 pm on Wednesday and we expect that most of the players would be around to take part in that session,” he said.
