AFCON: ‘They were begging Morocco to help them qualify’ – Oliseh reacts as Ivory Coast beat Senegal

Date:

Former Nigeria international Sunday Oliseh has insisted that the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, host Ivory Coast were begging Morocco to help them qualify for the round of 16.

Oliseh said this while reacting to Ivory Coast’s AFCON round of 16 victory over defending champions Senegal on Monday night.

Recall that Ivory Coast defeated Senegal 5-4 on penalties following a 1-1 draw.

Ivory Coast went into the game against the Teranga Lions on the back of a poor group stage performance where they lost 4-0 to Equatorial Guinea.

Football is A fantastic, Crazy Rollercoaster,” Oliseh wrote on X after the game.
