AFCON U23: Nigerians want Salisu Yusuf axed after failure to qualify

Nigeria’s U23 team won’t be participating at the next CAF African Cup of Nations scheduled to hold in Morocco later this year.*

The Salisu Yusuf’s tutored side lost 2-0 to Guinea over the two legs of the final qualifying phase.

The first leg in Abuja last week ended without a goal, while Guineans triumph 2-0 in the second leg played in Morocco on Tuesday to pick the ticket.

The failure also means the Nigerians won’t be at the next Olympics games in Paris. Recalled they also failed to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 edition.

Meanwhile, section of fans have called for the resignation of Coach Salisu Yusuf following the disappointing outing.

The fans on social media believe Salisu responsibility for the underwhelming performance of the team and should vacate his position with immediate effect.
