The President Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Supporters Club, Abayomi Ogunjimi has hailed the Super Eagles’ superlative group stage performance at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and has tasked them to sustain the momentum as they prepare for the second round tie.
Ogunjimi who and his members sang and danced throughout the proceedings of the Eagles 2-0 win over Guinea Bissau on Wednesday said the Eagles have gladdened the hearts of Nigerians and must ensure they do not allow complacency to set in as they go into the second round.
“I want to appreciate the fantastic performance of the Super Eagles against Guinea Bissau. They have made Nigerians rekindle the love they have for the team because of their impressive performance in the three group matches they have played they far,” Ogunjimi said.
“We are getting to the business end of the competition and we must not allow complacency to set in at all. They must ensure that they maintain the momentum and make Nigerians continue to be happy.
“We at the ANFASSC will continue to offer our ceaseless and unbridled support to the Eagles.”
