As registration of athletes for the 2nd Niger Delta Games is about to end, the Akwa Ibom State Liaison Committee has begun uploading of forms to the central registration portal of the games.
At the same time, the state in collaboration with the 17 accredited sports associations have intensified training for the athletes ahead of the state final trials.

Chairman of the State Liaison Committee, Elder Paul Bassey, who also is the Commissioner for Sports, said that the athletes are in high spirit getting ready for the trials and the Niger Delta Games in Benin, Edo State.
The Games will be held from February 20-27.
