Actress Tonto Dikeh has explained why she intends to keep her tattoos despite publicly reaffirming her Christian faith.

The actress made the clarification during an online exchange with a fan, citing concerns over the potential damage laser removal could cause to her skin.

Dikeh stressed that her faith does not require her to erase her past, adding that her tattoos do not affect her relationship with God. “Jesus doesn’t care,” she said.

Responding to a fan who asked if she would remove the tattoos if it were possible, the actress replied: “Yes, love, I would have, but I’m stuck with them and I’m not doing any laser to spoil my good skin. And the good thing is Jesus doesn’t care.”

In recent weeks, Dikeh has openly shared aspects of her spiritual journey on social media, posting prayers and videos of herself speaking in tongues.

She also disclosed plans to become more selective in her professional engagements, saying she would prioritise collaborations that respect her values and recognise her worth.

According to her, she will no longer promote or support individuals or brands that show hostility towards her, her faith or spiritual leaders.
