The dream of many young talented footballers in Kano State for a platform that offers them a pathway to advance their footballing career in Europe, is set to metamorphose into reality, following a life-changing program courtesy of the Kano State government led by His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabiru Yusuf, Executive Governor, Kano State.
The program, which is put together through the Office of the Special Adviser Youth and Sports Development, under the guidance of Hon. Sani Musa Danja, Special Adviser Youth and Sports Development, Kano State, will feature one of the most renowned scouts to have worked in Africa, Costicea Bogdan from Romania.

SPORTSDAY gathered exclusively that the experienced scout is now set to travel to Kano State at the invitation of the government to contribute to the development of youth football in the state which has produced the likes of former Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, Rabiu Ali, a legend of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) amongst others.
Costicea, together with his Nigerian partners are expected to help young Nigerians break into the European football market and will be available for scouting efforts and for opportunities to develop academies in Kano State, using his international experience to create new opportunities for young players.
Tagged “AKY The GAME CHANGER Football Scouting Project, we scooped is a strategic youth empowerment initiative established under the present leadership with the objective of identifying exceptional football talents from across the State and providing them with opportunities for international exposure and possible professional football careers.
The scouting program will be held this July at the Sanni Abacha Stadium, Kano – which the mission and search is on for the next Ahmed Musa.
