Amuneke Shows Interest In Super Eagles Job

Former Golden Eaglets coach Emmanuel Amuneke has indicated an interest in the Super Eagles job.

The Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has been under fire recently following a string of poor performances by the team.

The defeat of the team to the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau last weekend increased the tension of the Portuguese gaffer.

Amuneke is one of the locally based coaches mentioned by the football fans in the country to be given the opportunity.

Amuneke who is presently working as a coaching consultant to Zanaco of Zambia showed interest while speaking to a cable channel, New Central.

“I’ve never coached the Super Eagles, I’ve only gone twice to assist someone but coaching Super Eagles on my own I have not.

“But of course, Nigeria is my country, and the national team we are all part of it and when the opportunity comes and Nigerians feel that we can add something to the national team of course it’s a welcome development,” he said.
