Nigeria’s General Team Captain to the Tokyo Olympics Aruna Quadri has assured that peace had returned to Team Nigeria camp in Tokyo following the intervention of the Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr Sunday Dare.
According to the African Champion ” I had a fruitful meeting with the Minister based on my position as General Team captain to resolve the issues surrounding the training grant of Nigerian athletes based overseas. The meeting has allayed our fears and was very reassuring. The athletes are now relaxed with the action taken by the Minister.”
Aruna expressed dismay over the actions of some mischief makers who were trying to rubbish the efforts of the Minister by not doing their job when the occasion demands.
