Grassrunners FC which has a vision to become the best destination for the brightest U19 youngsters in sub-sahara Africa, is certainly matching words with action as more of their players continue to catch the eye in Europe.
The latest of their protégés to make the huge leap is the duo of David Chisom Otugo and Bonaventure Lendambi who have officially signed their first professional contract with the Austrian side, Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz.
The enterprising and promising centre-back and striker, traveled to Austria in early January for trials, where they trained with the club’s first team we scooped. Their performances impressed the coaching staff, after three friendly matches where they featured, delivering solid displays that earned them a professional deal and the rest is history as they say.

Chisom and Bonaventure whose transfers were completed ahead of time before the winter transfer window closed, will compete in the Austrian 2 Liga, the second tier of football in Austria which heralds a new chapter in their career.
But they are yet to make their official league debut as their residence/work permit is still being processed. Approval is however expected in the coming days.
The Ogun state based club has continued to make significant impacts since announcing their presence two years ago in the ever competitive football business.
