Bayern Munich star tells club he wants to leave Tuchel’s side

Date:

Bayern Munich defender, Benjamin Pavard has told the Bavarians that he wants to leave the club this summer amidst interest from Barcelona.

According to Sky Deutschland journalist, Florian Plettenberg, Pavard has decided not to extend his deal beyond next year.

Pavard joined Bayern Munich from VfB Stuttgart back in 2019.

The 27-year-old has since been a regular for the Bundesliga champions, making 162 appearances across competitions for the team.

The France international contributed towards 24 goals in those games and helped Thomas Tuchel’s side win ten trophies, including four Bundesliga titles and the UEFA Champions League.

However, there have been doubts about his future at Bayern Munich as his contract ends in June 2024.
