Boniface eyes AFCON debut with Super Eagles

Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface is looking forward to making his Africa Cup of Nations debut with Nigeria.

Boniface made his Super Eagles debut against Sao Tome and Principe in September.

The 22-year-old, barring any unforeseen circumstances, is expected to be included in the Super Eagles’ squad for the biennial competition.

The forward hopes to fulfill a lifetime ambition by representing Nigeria at AFCON 2023.

“It is the dream of every football player from Nigeria to represent their country and win a trophy for the country,” Boniface told DW.

“So, we’re looking forward to the next AFCON.”

Cote d’Ivoire will host AFCON 2023 from January 13 to February 11.
