Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface made an immediate impact on his Werder Bremen debut, setting up a goal in their commanding 4-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach in Sunday’s Bundesliga clash.
The Nigerian forward, who switched to Bremen this summer from Bayer Leverkusen, came on in the 75th minute for Romano Schmid and wasted no time making his presence felt.
Just six minutes later, Boniface set up Justin Njinmah, who curled home Bremen’s fourth goal in the 81st minute to seal a comprehensive victory.

Earlier, Samuel Mbangula had been the star of the show, opening the scoring with a thunderous strike in the 10th minute before setting up Jens Stage for Bremen’s second midway through the half.
Schmid converted a penalty in the 74th minute after Mbangula was fouled in the box, putting Bremen firmly in control.
Boniface’s late contribution capped off a dominant performance for Bremen and offered fans a glimpse of what the Nigerian international could bring to their attack this season.
